Dryer Vent Cleaning in Dallas, TX — Same-Day Appointments Open
Three cycles to dry one load of towels, and the laundry room feels like the garage in August. We clear the vent line end to end so your dryer finishes in one cycle, and we have same-day openings across Dallas today.
Call (469) 234-3076Why Dallas dryer vents clog faster than the manual suggests
Blackland Prairie clay swells wet and shrinks dry. Frames move with it. Duct joints inside wall cavities pull loose over years. Lint then packs a space nobody can see. Add high dew points from March through October. Warm exhaust meets humid air and lint sticks damp instead of blowing clear. That paste is what we scrape out most often.
Housing stock decides the rest. Laundry in the 1920s–40s bungalows and Tudors was often added later, venting out a side wall through flexible foil that has since been crushed behind the machine. The 1950s–60s brick ranches usually put the dryer in an unconditioned garage corner, with a short masonry run and a hood at ankle height. The 1990s–2020s two-story production homes moved laundry upstairs into conditioned space. Those runs climb through framing to a roof cap, with elbows and no easy access.
Spring pollen and late-summer prairie dust mat the outside screen. Hard freezes stick the flapper shut. Both show up as a hood that never opens fully.
We work mobile, from the dryer and the termination both. Go check your exterior hood while a load runs. Weak air, or none, is the whole diagnosis.

Dryer Vent Cleaning in Dallas: Common Questions
How often should a dryer vent in Dallas actually get cleared?
Once a year covers most households. Bump that to every six to eight months if you run laundry for a full house, wash a lot of towels or pet bedding, or the dryer sits in a garage corner where prairie dust and pollen drift in. Cedar, oak, ash and grass pollen run high February through May and ragweed comes back in fall. That fine grit binds with lint into a mat that airflow can't push out.
What tells me the vent is blocked?
The clearest sign is a load that needs two cycles when it used to need one. Feel the laundry room after a load: if it's warm and damp, heat that should be leaving the house is staying in it. That matters most in newer Dallas two-story homes where the laundry is conditioned space. Go outside and look at the hood too. Lint clinging around the flap, or a flap that barely lifts while the dryer runs, means the line is packed.
Walk me through the appointment and the time it takes.
We pull the dryer out, disconnect the transition hose, and check the duct run from the machine to the exterior hood. A rotary brush on a flexible rod goes through the line while a vacuum captures what breaks loose, then we clear the hood from outside and confirm airflow with the dryer running. Most homes take under an hour. Long runs in 1990s and later production homes, or a duct that has been crushed behind the machine, add time.
What makes one job cost more than another?
Length and shape of the duct do most of the work on the number. A 1950s brick ranch with a short run straight out the wall is quick; a two-story tract home with the laundry upstairs and thirty feet of duct with several elbows is not. Buildup matters too. A vent that hasn't been touched in years often needs a second pass, and damaged or disconnected duct sections may need replacing. We look first, tell you what we find, and you approve the quote before we start.
Is a roof vent harder to get to?
Yes, and it's common in older Dallas core neighborhoods and in some split-levels where the run goes up instead of out. Roof terminations need ladder work and a safe pitch, so they take longer and we check weather before scheduling. Roof caps also trap more debris because gravity works against you, and clay soil movement here can shift framing enough to loosen the duct joints in the attic. We inspect those joints while we're up there.
Does booking for today change what I pay?
No. A same-day slot is billed the same as one booked a week out, with no rush fee and no after-hours markup. Call early if you can, since summer afternoons in the 100F stretches fill up fast and roof work goes better before the heat peaks.

What happens after you call us
- 1
Call and tell me what your dryer is doing. I'll ask where the vent exits and give you a 90 minute arrival window, usually same week.
- 2
I show up and look at the run from the dryer to the outside hood. You get the price before a tool comes off the truck, including any crushed duct or broken hood.
- 3
I clean the full run, reconnect the dryer, run a cycle to check airflow at the hood, and vacuum up the lint I pulled. You pay the number I quoted at the door, nothing added at the end.
Call (469) 234-3076 and tell us two things: where the dryer sits, and roughly how far the vent runs to the outside wall. That is your quote.
What Dallas Homeowners Call Us About
-
We know the long garage runs in 1990s and 2000s two-story homes in Frisco, Plano and North Dallas, where 35 feet of duct and four elbows choke airflow.
-
The truck carries rigid 4-inch pipe, foil tape, aluminum elbows, roof and wall vent hoods with real dampers, and replacement transition hose, so most repairs finish the same visit.
-
If your vent runs through a second-story wall or a flat roof and needs new ductwork, we tell you on the phone that it becomes a two-visit job before we book you.
-
We work on Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, Maytag and GE dryers, and if the blower wheel or thermal fuse is the real problem, we say so instead of selling you another cleaning.
