1. My dryer sits in the garage corner and the vent only runs a few feet outside — why would that ever need cleaning?

   Short runs are the most common setup in Mesquite's 1960s and 70s brick ranch homes, and people assume short means self-clearing. It usually isn't. The problem is almost never the length, it's the elbow right behind the dryer. When the machine gets pushed back against the wall, the flex hose kinks at that turn, airflow drops, and lint drops out of the air right there instead of blowing outside. 2. How fast can you get out here?

We clean from both ends and clear the hood itself rather than just pushing debris toward it.

4. What actually drives the price up or down on a Mesquite house?

   The straightforward garage-corner or utility-alcove run through the nearest exterior wall is the simplest job there is and prices accordingly. What adds to it: split-level homes from the late 70s and 80s where the run climbs through framing instead of going straight out, a crushed or disconnected section behind the dryer that needs replacing, or a termination hood that's damaged and won't seal. 5. Do you do same-day, and does the dust out here make things worse?

   Same-day happens when a slot opens. It's worth asking, especially early in the week.
