Dryer Vent Installation in Dallas, TX

Dryer vent installation in Dallas homes

Most installs we do start as a failure. Foil duct in a Dallas attic goes brittle and cracks. Expansive clay soil shifts the frame, and joints pull apart above the ceiling. A roof jack flapper sticks open, then a bird or wasp nest fills it. At that point cleaning does nothing. The run has to be rebuilt.

Route design decides everything afterward. Every elbow costs you the equivalent of several feet of straight pipe. Interior laundry rooms in 1990s-2020s two-story builds often run 25-40 feet to a roof jack with two or three turns. That is near the limit before a booster or a shorter path is the honest answer. We use rigid metal through concealed spaces, tape the joints, and point screws outward so lint has nothing to catch on.

Sag is the quiet killer. A long attic run resting on joists collects winter condensation in the low spots, and lint packs into that damp bend. Straps every few feet, pitched toward the termination, prevent it.

Second-floor laundry closets venting down through wall cavities are the hardest to reroute, since we work with what the framing allows. Garage corners and 1950s-60s ranch sidewall runs are simpler. Ask for a hood with a flapper, not a screen.

What happens after you call us

Call and tell me what your dryer is doing. I'll ask where the vent exits and give you a 90 minute arrival window, usually same week.

I show up and look at the run from the dryer to the outside hood. You get the price before a tool comes off the truck, including any crushed duct or broken hood.

I clean the full run, reconnect the dryer, run a cycle to check airflow at the hood, and vacuum up the lint I pulled. You pay the number I quoted at the door, nothing added at the end.
