Dryer Vent Repair in Dallas, TX

What dryer vent repair actually involves in Dallas homes
Two housing patterns dominate here. Postwar ranch homes run 4-6 feet through an exterior wall, and the duct behind the dryer gets crushed flat when the appliance is pushed tight to the wall. Two-story builds from the 1990s onward run 25-40 feet through the attic to a roof jack, with two or three elbows. Repair looks nothing alike on those two jobs.
The attic failures are the ones people never see. Foil duct goes brittle after summers under a Dallas roof deck. Joints pull apart when expansive clay shifts the frame and the run loses support. Lint packs into a low sag, where winter condensation collects, and the whole section turns into wet gray felt. That is a replacement, not a cleaning.
Roof jacks fail separately. Flappers stick open or go missing, and birds and wasps build inside the hood. Screened termination hoods clog fast and should not be there at all.
Real repair means rigid or semi-rigid metal, properly supported, joints taped and sealed, foil-tape not screws inside the run. Screws catch lint.
Before calling, look behind the dryer. A kinked, smashed transition hose is the most common cause of a load needing two or three cycles.
What happens after you call us
Call and tell me what your dryer is doing. I'll ask where the vent exits and give you a 90 minute arrival window, usually same week.
I show up and look at the run from the dryer to the outside hood. You get the price before a tool comes off the truck, including any crushed duct or broken hood.
I clean the full run, reconnect the dryer, run a cycle to check airflow at the hood, and vacuum up the lint I pulled. You pay the number I quoted at the door, nothing added at the end.
